Sacred Heart Church of the First Peoples Logo
A combination of white and red, which make pink, represents the Metis Nation.
Red symbolizes the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ—a sign of his love—and the wounds of our people, both past and present.
White represents the spirit of God, bringing healing and wisdom.
Blue is the colour of healing that has begun.
The cross signifies our Saviour, Jesus Christ, who lives in us all.
The eagle is a spiritual symbol. Its eyes and face reflect the fortitude and vision of our people. Its wings, which stretch beyond the circle, symbolize the Creator’s gift of freedom and our call to new life, hope, and vision as a holy people of God.
The great outer circle holds two sacred meanings. It reflects the Creator, who is the source of all life, and it embraces all who enter, a circle of love and family where everyone belongs.
At the four directions, the colours yellow, red, blue, and white honour the fullness of humanity. Red represents First Nations peoples, while the other colours signify all the peoples of the Earth. Together, they reveal the spirit of inclusivity that lies at the heart of Sacred Heart Church of the First Peoples—welcoming, uniting, and celebrating all as one family in the Creator’s love.
